Our bank was registered in 1913 and started functioning in 1914 .the bank has more than 54 branches strategically place all over the undivided district of south Canara. Our first registered office was in Puttur which was later shifted over to Mangalore. The primary goal of this bank is financing services in Agricultural sector which involves fulfilling various credit service needs of the farmers, providing timely and adequate finance through the primary agricultural societies .the bank is active participant in various scheme like S.G.S.Y, Swarojgar Credit Card Scheme etc. The bank has also participated in promoting self help groups and has promoted nearly 34259 SHG groups under the guidance of the Navodaya Grama Vikas a Charitable Trust (R), Mangalore. The bank has issued more than 68,088 Mangala Kissan Credit Cards to the members of the PACS out of which 57,278 Members have been covered under personal accident insurance schemes. A sum of Rs. 434.74 crores has been advanced during the year 2009-10.the Bank has also financed Rs.360.01 crores to non-form sector.
